This week's Power of the Puck Player of the Week is Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin, making him the only player to be selected as Player of the Week twice. Ovechkin had another outstanding week, as he scored 7 goals and added 2 assists, giving him 9 points in 4 games. He has a pair of 2-goal games and a hat-trick in another. Currently, he is tied with Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos for the league lead in goals, with 25. After starting the season very slowly, Ovechkin has resurrected his dominant play of a few seasons ago. As Ovechkin has improved over the course of the season, so has his team. The Washington Capitals started the season terribly, but have rebounded nicely over the past few weeks. With Ovechkin taking charge, the Capitals currently have the lead in the Southeast Division. The old Alex Ovechkin is back, and it looks like he's here to stay.
