This week's Power of the Puck Player of the Week is Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby. After concussion problems have kept him from playing for much of the past two seasons, Crosby has returned to his elite status this season. Crosby had 2 goals and 9 assists this week, including a five-assist game against the New York Islanders on March 10. Crosby hasn't just dominated this week; he's dominated all season, as he has 12 goals, 33 assists, giving him a league-leading 45 points in 26 games. While his production this season shouldn't surprise anyone, it has still been very impressive, and is worth recognizing. When Sidney Crosby is healthy and in the lineup, there is no doubt that he is the best player in the NHL today. Check back every Monday for the Player of the Week.
