It was reported this morning that Winnipeg Jets forward Alexander Burmistrov wanted out of Winnipeg. An RFA this summer, Burmistrov's negotiating rights can be traded to another team. Drafted 8th overall in 2010 by the Atlanta Thrashers (now Winnipeg Jets), Burmistrov is coming off his entry level contract, which means he is due for a raise.

This news should not be surprising, as Burmistrov's relationship with head coach Claude Noel has been rough, with Burmistrov spending most of this season in Noel's dog house.

Any team that is interested in Burmistrov should be careful. He is going to ask for more money than he has proven to be worth. Most likely, he will be overpaid. Burmistrov is also looking for first line minutes, which is another thing teams should look out for. Burmistrov is a talented player, without a doubt, but is he really worth giving up a good asset in a trade, only to be overpaid?
